Testimonials

Bill,

The last three weekends on the mountain have been incredible and life changing. They are memories that Steph and I will forever cherish. Thank you for everything you have done for us, for me, for every disabled veteran that has returned to the mountain, and for the people that now know a disability is only an obstacle. You are all amazing Americans and I am blessed to call you friends.

Bill and every one else with Two Top and Whitetail:

Thanks again to both the instructors, and your program! We thought that they did an amazing great job with Benny, with really great communication. I hope we can get one or both to work with him next time. It was so gratifying to see Benny finally let loose and thrive on some serious slopes...

Sincerely,
Rick, Sylvia, Alex and Benny.

Bill and Mike!

WOW. I cannot relay how much my families appreciated ALL you did. Your reception was so warm and the staff was superior. The parents and the athletes had continuous high praise for your expertise, kindness, and open hearts. Everyone (including the little one who got ill) expressed SINCERE gratitude for making a dream come true. All of the parents shared some tears of surprise and delight as they watched their children explore a whole new adventure they once thought was not possible. UNFORGETABLE! You are added more beautiful souls to your fan club. I am certain you will see a few of them again.

There are more beautiful faces I look forward to bringing to you. Keep up the great work. I am so blessed to have met and worked with such a phenomenal group of professionals. The kids, their families and I want to sing your praises from the top of the mountain. What amazing folks!

These words seem so mushy - yet inadequate to express the gratitude of your gift to these special children and their families. Please give the entire crew my most humble thanks and many hugs.

THANK YOU. THANK YOU. I agree - let's do it again.
Blessings and peace,
JoEllen

Bill:

Many thanks to you and your team for providing our daughter Joy with a fantastic first adaptive skiing experience this weekend. She had a great time and we all look forward to returning. Maury, Beth, and Linda did a fantastic job in caring for Joy on her first skiing thrill. Joy's smiles along the way were proof that she had a ball --- and we certainly had great pride and thanks to your team in seeing her move down the mountain.

Thanks again!
Mike and Ann Meenan

THANK YOU Bill, Sonnny. Maury and all the gang for giving Caroline such a wonderful day!!! She just loved it! It was very, very special for both of us. We loved the people, we loved the resort, and we can't thank you enough.

We hope to be back Thursday- I think Martha has alerted you! I think it is worth missing some more school. It looks like it will be a decent day. Hooray!

On Sunday my niece, Jeanette Webb, attended a ski school for individuals with disabilities. This was her first encounter with skiing of any sort. My niece, seriously limited by Cerebral Palsy, thoroughly enjoyed her ski experience. I commend the staff for their professionalism and understanding in working with her that day. Maury, Mike and Sam were great working with her in the sit ski and made her experience memorable. We look forward to returning for future lessons at this facility.

Thank you once again for offering a service to members of the community which are frequently overlooked. My niece and her entire family truly applaud the staff and the White Tail Ski area for a positive and inclusive program.

Thank you,
Terrie Reid

Bill,

After getting the opportunity to participate in your program, and with the help of his instructors, Lisa and Jon, Steven is now enthusiastic again about learning to ski. By the end of the lesson, he was skiing down a gentle slope by himself. This positive experience has improved Steven’s confidence immensely and he can’t stop talking about what a great time he had and how he wants to come back again.

Dear Bill,

I wanted to thank you for providing us with such a wonderful experience when our vision students came to Whitetail for their lessons in adaptive skiing. All of the kids were so proud of themselves and the patience and care shown by all of the staff at Whitetail was amazing. I was especially impressed by how smoothly everything ran.

I would love to send a letter to the CEO of Whitetail to express my gratitude to you and all involved. Would you please forward that information to me.

We look forward to attending next year,
Sharle Hussion

To Bill Dietrich,

Thank you for providing such a wonderful weekend experience for our son, Dan. Dan skied at Whitetail on March 7 and 8-he's 21 and autistic. My sister, Judy Chambers, lives in Mercersburg, and she helped arrange his weekend.

My wife and I are so grateful for the skiing opportunities Dan had, and we were very surprised to discover that a foundation provided for all of Dan's expenses-lift tickets, equipment rental and lessons. We would like to make a donation to the foundation, as a way of saying thanks, and so that as many people as possible have the opportunity Dan just had. Please let me know how we can contribute.

Thanks,
David S. Miller

Dear Sam, Mary and Dave,

Thank you for being my ski instructors on March 7 and 8. I had a great time. I love to go skiing at Whitetail. I love to visit Aunt Judy and Uncle Scott and my cousin Alex Chambers. I hope I will see you next year.

Sincerely,
Dan Miller

I want to thank all those involved in my son's first experience at your facility. His school brought up three busses last Saturday, most of which were first time snowboarders and skiers.

One of your staff saw me putting my son's prosthesis into the snow boot and offered her assistance. She then asked if he was getting lessons and if so was it an adaptive lesson. I told her that I had no knowledge about adaptive lessons, but that I did pay for one of the regular lessons. She asked us to follow her to the ski school desk. Once there we met a man who told me that he was running a non-profit program for people like my son who were interested in learning the sport. He told me that he was going to have an instructor teach my son the basics of snow boarding. The next thing we know we were introduced to Cody, who was very nice and even more patient than we could have imagined. He worked with my son for two hours and it was a true joy to watch a child who wants so much to be like all other kids, have a chance to try something so exciting.

I wanted your staff to know how much I as a parent, appreciated the kindness of your staff.

You have no idea how much joy you have brought to me and especially to my son. Once again, thank you for wonderful experience.

Best Regards,
Kim and Kameron Duncan
